Who processes your data
Etienne Lemichel, lawyer, 5 rue de Stockholm, 75008 Paris, contact@elemichel-avocat.fr, is the controller of your personal data. The firm has not appointed a data protection officer: Etienne Lemichel handles any question about your data himself.
All information you entrust to the firm is covered by legal professional secrecy.

Who has access
Etienne Lemichel and, solely for the purposes of the proceedings, the courts and authorities concerned. The firm also uses technical service providers acting on its instructions: Wix for hosting the website and receiving contact form messages, as well as email, video call and, where applicable, practice management services. For messaging and video calls, the tool used may depend on the people involved, for example the association supporting you. Your data is neither sold nor used for commercial purposes.
If you write to the firm by text or WhatsApp, your message passes through your phone operator or WhatsApp Ireland Limited, under their own terms. Do not attach any document before the first exchange.
Transfers outside the European Union
Wix and some of the providers mentioned above may process data outside the European Union, in particular in the United States. These transfers are governed by an adequacy decision of the European Commission or by standard contractual clauses.
Your rights
You can request access to your data, its rectification, erasure, restriction of processing or portability, and object to its processing. You can also give instructions on what happens to your data after your death. Erasure may be limited by the firm’s legal retention obligations.
To exercise these rights, write to contact@elemichel-avocat.fr or to 5 rue de Stockholm, 75008 Paris. The firm replies within one month.
If you consider that your rights are not respected, you can lodge a complaint with the CNIL, the French data protection authority: www.cnil.fr, 3 place de Fontenoy, TSA 80715, 75334 Paris Cedex 07.
Cookies and external resources
The website uses no advertising cookies. It only sets the cookies needed for it to work, which do not require consent.
Wix, the website host, may also set cookies for statistical audience measurement. They are only activated with your consent, collected through the banner shown on your first visit. Refusing is as easy as accepting, and your choice is kept for six months. You can change it at any time with the “Cookie settings” link at the bottom of each page.
The pages, images and fonts are served by Wix, the website host. When you send the contact form, your browser obtains an anonymous connection token from Wix, just long enough to send the message.
The “Prepare my appointment” page saves the documents you tick in your browser’s local storage, on your device only. This information is not sent to the firm. The “Untick all” button erases it.
The links to the map and to the Google reviews open Google’s website: no map or review is embedded in this website.
The website is available in French, English and Arabic. For other languages, the language menu offers machine translation by Google Translate. If you choose one of these languages, the page is displayed on a Google domain (translate.goog), under Google’s terms. This translation may contain errors: only the French version prevails.
