Fees
Fees and legal aid
Your means should not stop you from asserting your rights. The first exchange is free, the fees are fixed and set in writing, and the firm accepts legal aid.
A fixed fee, set in writing
Etienne Lemichel works for a fixed fee. The amount is agreed with you at the first meeting, according to the work your case requires and your situation. It is written into a fee agreement signed before any work starts: you know it from the outset.
- First phone call: free;
- Fees: a fixed amount, agreed before any commitment;
- Payment: in up to three instalments, over six months at most.
Legal aid
Legal aid covers all or part of a lawyer’s fees, depending on your income. For appeals against a removal measure and before the National Court of Asylum, it can be granted even without a residence permit.
The firm accepts these cases and helps you prepare the application.
If it is urgent, do not wait for the legal aid decision before calling the firm. In several procedures, the time limits to appeal keep running while it is being examined.
In case of disagreement
If a dispute arises over fees, you can refer it free of charge to the consumer mediator for the legal profession, after a written complaint sent to the firm. Contact details of the mediator (in French)
